Biden’s presidency did more harm than good. The country is still feeling the ramifications of his failed time in office.

And this top Trump official reveals a terrifying threat to the U.S. thanks to Joe Biden.

In a chilling revelation on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Trump Border Czar Tom Homan described the gotaways at the border under the Biden administration as the “biggest national security vulnerability this country’s ever seen.”

Speaking with anchor Maria Bartiromo, Homan raised alarms about the potential for Iranian sleeper cells in the wake of President Donald Trump’s recent strikes on Tehran’s nuclear facilities. His warning highlighted a crisis fueled by millions of undetected border crossings during Biden’s tenure.

Homan, leveraging U.S. Customs and Border Protection data, revealed that 1,272 Iranian nationals were released into the U.S. by immigration officials under Biden—a sharp departure from the Trump administration’s record of “zero” releases. “Right now, because of President Trump’s leadership, we have the most secure border in my lifetime, most secure border in the history of this nation,” Homan stated.

“So we’re not releasing people into this country. Special interest aliens aren’t crossing that border undetected. But under Joe Biden, we had over 10 million people cross that border.”

The most alarming statistic, Homan emphasized, was the over 2 million “known gotaways”—individuals who crossed the border undetected, evading overwhelmed Border Patrol agents grappling with a humanitarian crisis of Biden’s making. “Over 2 million people crossed that border, we don’t know who they are, where they came from, because they got away,” he said. This staggering figure, coupled with the influx of fentanyl and rampant s*x trafficking, has created an unprecedented threat to national security, according to Homan.

While acknowledging that the Trump administration cannot track every gotaway, Homan expressed confidence in the current leadership. “What gives me any comfort at all is that you don’t have Christopher Wray there [leading the FBI]. You got Kash Patel there. You don’t have Alejandro Mayorkas there [leading DHS] anymore. You got Kristi Noem. And you certainly don’t have [former Vice President] Kamala Harris as the border czar,” he noted. Under Trump, agencies like the FBI, DHS, and ICE have prioritized national security threats from day one.

Disturbing evidence uncovered by Border Patrol intelligence further emphasizes the danger. “They have found prayer mats south of the border. They have found identification from people from Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Syria south of the border,” Homan revealed.

“So we know that some terrorists have crossed that border. We’d be a fool to think zero crossed.” According to Homan, Trump’s proactive approach, including ICE operations targeting national security risks, has already removed thousands of threats, a stark contrast to the previous administration’s inaction.

A Crisis of Neglect: Biden’s Border Failure

The Biden administration’s refusal to secure the southern border has unleashed a crisis of historic proportions. By dismantling Trump-era policies like Remain in Mexico and Title 42, Biden and his team opened the floodgates to over 10 million illegal crossings, including 2 million gotaways whose identities and intentions remain unknown.

This neglect has strained Border Patrol resources, leaving agents unable to effectively monitor or detain dangerous individuals, including potential terrorists from adversarial nations like Iran.

The consequences of this lax approach are dire. The release of 1,272 Iranian nationals into the U.S. under Biden raises serious questions about vetting processes, especially given the discovery of prayer mats and identification from high-risk countries.

These lapses have emboldened cartels, fueled a fentanyl epidemic claiming countless American lives, and facilitated human trafficking. The Biden administration’s failure to act decisively has left communities across the nation vulnerable to crime, economic strain, and security threats.

Moreover, the appointment of Vice President Kamala Harris as border czar yielded no meaningful results. Her inaction, paired with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ ineffective leadership, allowed the crisis to spiral unchecked.

The absence of robust deterrence measures and the prioritization of political optics over security eroded public trust and endangered the nation. As Homan noted, the contrast with Trump’s leadership—marked by decisive action and a focus on safety—could not be clearer.

The path forward demands accountability and resolve. The Biden administration’s legacy of border neglect has created a vulnerability that will take years to address.

Only through sustained investment in border security, intelligence, and enforcement can the U.S. hope to mitigate the risks posed by millions of untracked entrants. Trump’s renewed focus offers a glimmer of hope, but the scale of the crisis points to the urgent need for unwavering commitment to protecting the nation.
