The media can’t seem to leave Trump alone. They’ll do anything to take him down.

And now Donald Trump hung up on a reporter after being asked a ridiculous question.

Trump Abruptly Ends CNN Interview Over Epstein Questions

On July 22, President Donald Trump ended a phone interview with CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski after being questioned about his past association with Jeffrey Epstein.

Kaczynski, who was working on a story about resurfaced photos and videos from the 1990s showing Trump and Epstein together, reported that the call lasted about 30 seconds.

“When I asked him about the wedding photo, he said – he sort of paused for a second and then said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’ before calling CNN ‘fake news’ and then hanging up on me,” Kaczynski said.

The story featured images of Epstein at Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples, a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion show where the two were seen interacting, and a 1993 Harley Davidson Café opening attended by Trump, Epstein, and two of Trump’s children.

While the images, sourced from Google Images and Shutterstock, are not new, they have reignited discussion about Trump’s ties to Epstein, though Trump has consistently distanced himself from the disgraced financier since their falling out around 2004.

Media Coverage and White House Response

CNN’s report, published on July 22, framed the footage and photos as evidence of a past relationship between Trump and Epstein, noting that they predate Epstein’s legal troubles, which began with his 2006 arrest for s*xually abusing underage girls and escalated with 2019 federal s*x trafficking charges.

White House spokesman Steven Cheung dismissed the article, stating to Fox News Digital, “These are nothing more than out-of-context frame grabs of innocuous videos and pictures of widely attended events to disgustingly infer something nefarious.”

“The fact is that The President kicked him out of his club for being a creep.” Cheung suggested the story aligns with a pattern of media narratives, like the discredited Russiagate probe, aimed at undermining Trump.

Epstein Case Transparency and Ongoing Scrutiny

The renewed attention on Trump’s Epstein connection coincides with a July Department of Justice memo, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, affirming that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and that no “client list” of underage victims exists.

This has sparked bipartisan calls for greater transparency, with both Republicans and Democrats urging the release of all Epstein-related files to address lingering conspiracy theories.

Trump has downplayed the “Epstein files” as a “hoax” and a distraction, consistent with his 2019 statement that he severed ties with Epstein after a falling out 15 years earlier.

A 2002 New York Magazine profile quoted Trump calling Epstein a “terrific guy,” but by 2004, Trump banned him from Mar-a-Lago. While the DOJ’s findings aim to clarify Epstein’s death, the media’s revisiting of Trump’s past association continues to fuel debate, with supporters arguing it distracts from his current leadership and opponents calling for full disclosure of historical records.
