The 2024 presidential election is almost a year in the past. But the political world already has their eyes set on 2028.
And this 2028 presidential poll dropped and the results will shock you.
In a stunning hypothetical face-off that has Democrats scrambling, Vice President JD Vance has emerged victorious over California Governor Gavin Newsom in a poll of seven crucial battleground states. This exclusive survey, obtained by Breitbart News, paints a clear picture of Vance’s growing appeal among voters who are fed up with liberal elites.
The poll, carried out by Plymouth Union Public Research, zeroed in on Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—the very states that could lock in Republican control of the White House once President Donald Trump finishes his second term.
Overall, a solid 51 percent of likely voters in these swing areas threw their support behind Vance, edging out Newsom’s 49 percent. Even more telling, Vance claimed wins in five of the seven states, proving he’s got the momentum to carry the fight forward.
What’s really turning heads is how Vance is pulling in Democrat voters at a rate of nine percent, outpacing Newsom’s meager seven percent crossover from Republicans. This shows the cracks in the left’s base, as everyday Americans see through the progressive agenda.
Digging into public opinion, 27 percent of those surveyed see Vance in a very positive light. Meanwhile, Newsom only garners a 21 percent favorable nod from voters, highlighting the stark divide in how these two are perceived. On the flip side, 45 percent hold a negative opinion of Vance, but that still leaves him with a net positive rating of three percent— a slim but significant edge in these tough political waters.
For Newsom, the numbers are even more dismal: just 16 percent view him very favorably, with 21 percent somewhat positive. A whopping 25 percent have never even heard of California’s top dog, while 14 percent see him somewhat negatively and 24 percent downright despise his image.
Shifting to other Democrat hopefuls, former Vice President Kamala Harris clocks in with 49 percent favorable views against 46 percent negative. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who ran as Harris’s sidekick, gets 43 percent positive marks but 37 percent negative, and 20 percent of folks still don’t know who he is.
Pete Buttigieg, the ex-Transportation Secretary, pulls 39 percent favorable and 32 percent unfavorable, with 30 percent unaware of him, suggesting he’s not the powerhouse the media hypes him up to be. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro fares similarly, with 39 percent positive, 25 percent negative, and a huge 36 percent who haven’t heard of the Keystone State’s leader— a sign Democrats lack star power.
This poll dropped right after President Trump hinted that Vance might step up as the next torchbearer for the Make America Great Again movement, solidifying his role in the Republican’s future.
“Well, I think most likely, in all fairness. He’s the vice president,” Trump stated. “I think Marco is also somebody that maybe would get together with JD in some form.” These words from the boss himself boost Vance’s standing among true conservatives.
Backing this up, an Emerson College poll from July showed Vance defeating Newsom, along with radicals like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Buttigieg, in head-to-head matchups.
Vance didn’t stop there—he was victorious in the Conservative Political Action Conference straw poll for Republican presidential contenders, cementing his place as a favorite among GOP activists.
Beyond the horse race, the survey revealed massive backing for Trump’s America First agenda, with two-thirds of respondents on board with policies that put the nation first in investments.
Specifically, 66 percent agreed: “President Trump’s America First Foreign Investment policy is designed to make America the world’s greatest destination for investment while protecting America’s national security interests. Welcoming foreign investment and strengthening our world-leading private and public capital markets is a key part of America’s Golden Age.” Even 41 percent of Democrats and 36 percent of Harris supporters nodded along.
An overwhelming 80 percent want foreign firms to manufacture right here in the USA, teaming up with American businesses to pump up the economy and keep jobs stateside.
The poll highlighted concerns over China’s shady tactics: “Some American companies that conduct business in China are forced to partner with Chinese-based corporations, which are often controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.” Support crossed party lines, with 73 percent of Harris voters, 75 percent of Democrats, and independents in agreement. Even younger voters aged 18-29 showed 68 percent approval, though they lagged a bit behind.
Finally, 71 percent of those polled demand fairness in trade with China, insisting the U.S. mirror Beijing’s rules by mandating that Chinese companies operating here have partial government ownership—just like what American firms face over there. This groundswell for tough, patriotic policies shows voters are rallying against globalist sellouts and toward leaders like Vance who fight for American workers.
