Trump doesn’t have time for useless games. That’s especially the case when it comes to non-American organizations.

And President Trump hit the U.N. where it hurts with this decisive move.

President Donald Trump’s iron-fisted diplomacy just delivered a knockout blow to the United Nations’ latest scheme to burden hardworking Americans with a punishing global carbon tax on shipping.

This outrageous proposal, pushed by radical environmentalists, aimed to strong-arm the entire shipping sector into ditching reliable fossil fuels under the guise of saving the planet.

But Trump stepped in like a true champion, urging nations worldwide to reject this job-k*lling nonsense outright on Thursday.

He made it crystal clear: America will not “tolerate” or “adhere” to this global tax.

The next day, the International Maritime Organization – that bureaucratic arm of the UN overseeing global shipping – caved under the pressure and shelved the vote entirely.

Instead of ramming through the tax, they opted to delay any decision for a full year, buying time for real negotiations.

“Now you have one year, you will continue to work on several aspects of these amendments,” said the secretary general of the International Maritime Organization, Arsenio Dominguez.

“You have one year to negotiate and talk and come to consensus.”

Trump’s warriors in the administration hailed this as a monumental triumph, proving once again that putting America first pays off big time.

“This is another HUGE win for [Trump],” Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared.

“Thanks to his leadership, the United States prevented a massive UN tax hike on American consumers that would have funded progressive climate pet projects. Our country will continue to lead the way and put America FIRST.”

UN Ambassador Mike Waltz spotlighted the relentless drive from Rubio: “Huge push by [Rubio] and the State Dept team. Strong diplomacy that put American business and consumers first WON THE DAY over an ideological carbon tax from the UN and EU.”

Leading up to this showdown, the Trump team had already fired warning shots, highlighting how the tax could spike shipping expenses by as much as 10 percent.

They didn’t stop at words – the administration outlined an arsenal of countermeasures against any nations backing this EU-driven folly, from probing shady trade tactics to slapping on visa limits and jacking up port charges.

“The United States will be moving to levy these remedies against nations that sponsor this European-led neocolonial export of global climate regulations,” the Trump admin stated.

“We will fight hard to protect our economic interests by imposing costs on countries if they support the [Net Zero Framework].”
