Some cracks are starting to show within the Republican Party. That’s the last thing you want to see before the midterms.
And a leading Republican completely loses it on this Trump official.
Senator Thom Tillis from North Carolina took to CNN’s State of the Union this Sunday to launch a vicious attack on one of President Trump’s most loyal warriors, White House adviser Stephen Miller. Tillis didn’t hold back, labeling Miller as a “big problem” in the administration and demanding he step aside.
This kind of backstabbing from within the GOP ranks shows just how deep the swamp runs, even among those who claim to stand with the America First agenda.
Tillis went on a rant about Miller’s influence. He tied Miller to recent controversies, including comments from potential VP pick Kristi Noem. According to Tillis, Miller’s bold style has led to what he calls “embarrassments” for the President. But let’s be real—Miller’s no-nonsense approach is exactly what drained the swamp in the first place.
The North Carolina senator painted Miller as someone who rushes in without thinking, but that’s code for criticizing a fighter who doesn’t bow to political correctness. Tillis said, “It gives me pause that you had people like Stephen Miller calling the shots, that actually, I believe that maybe Kristi Noem acted on. It was Stephen Miller that was talking about a terrorist brandishing a gun.”
“It was Stephen Miller who said it was the position of United States that we should go after Greenland. It’s Stephen Miller that’s been repeatedly responsible for embarrassments for the President of the United States, by acting too quickly, speaking first and thinking later.”
Host Jake Tapper, ever the eager instigator from the fake news network, pressed Tillis on whether Miller should be ousted. Without missing a beat, Tillis doubled down, showing his true colors as a Republican who’d rather appease the left than fight for conservative values.
Tillis replied, “Oh, of course I do.” This blunt admission reveals how some in the party are quick to throw allies under the bus when the going gets tough. Miller has been a cornerstone of Trump’s immigration crackdown, pushing policies that put American workers first and secure our borders—something Tillis seems all too willing to undermine.
Continuing his assault, Tillis accused Miller of prioritizing style over substance, as if bold rhetoric isn’t what rallied millions to Trump’s cause. He claimed Miller wields too much power over the cabinet, stifling qualified members. But in reality, Miller’s guidance has kept the administration focused on draining the swamp, not diluting it with compromise.
Tillis continued, “Not only does Stephen really want to just paint a picture, he’s not worried about substance. He’s more worried about form. But I also think that he has an outsized influence over the operations of the cabinet.”
“And I believe we’ve got qualified cabinet members there that sometimes are doing less than what they want to because of his direction and his outsized influence.”
The senator went further, calling Miller a persistent issue since day one. He contrasted Miller with Kristi Noem, noting she’s Senate-confirmed and should operate independently. But this ignores how Miller’s expertise has shaped effective policies that protect our nation from globalist threats.
Tillis stated, “He’s a big problem in this administration. He has been from the beginning. But Noem is a Senate-confirmed cabinet member. She should have been independent.”
This jab at Miller reeks of jealousy from a lawmaker who’s more comfortable in committee rooms than on the front lines of the culture war.
