Democrats are trying their best to get rid of Trump. They want him kicked out of office as soon as possible.
And an impeachment nightmare is on deck for President Trump according to this Republican leader.
Senator John Cornyn delivered a blunt message this week on NewsNation’s The Hill Sunday. The Texas Republican laid out the high stakes facing President Donald Trump and the entire conservative movement heading into the midterms.
If Republicans surrender control of the House, the left will immediately launch another impeachment sham against Trump.
This marks the third potential attempt by Democrats to remove a duly elected president through partisan theater.
Cornyn made clear the consequences would extend far beyond one man. It would grind the people’s agenda to a halt.
Cornyn affirmed his commitment, saying, “I’m supportive of President Trump, as we’ve discussed, because I want him to be successful and I want America to be successful. I want our party to be successful. So, I’ll continue to vote in that same way.”
He acknowledged the pressure building around these elections. The Texas senator noted genuine concerns among voters about what the midterms could bring. Protecting Trump’s final two years requires holding every seat and fighting for more.
Cornyn warned plainly about the danger ahead: “But sometimes the president needs a little help when, particularly, we’re dealing with the midterms here, where I think there’s a lot more anxiety than perhaps we can fully appreciate about the midterms. And this is going to be critical to his last two years in office.”
The outcome in the House carries massive weight. “If he loses the House, if we lose the House, then he’ll likely get impeached for a third time and, we’ll make it virtually impossible to pass up his legislative agenda. So I’d like to continue to try to help the president where I can,” the senator continued.
This fight hits home in Texas, where Cornyn faces a challenger eager to drag the state leftward. The senator expressed strong confidence in defeating Democratic candidate Talarico, drawing from his own record of decisive victories.
Cornyn pointed to his proven success with voters, saying, “I know Texas, and I’ve run in a lot of races, and, we have not yet begun to define Talarico. He’s done a pretty good job of defining himself, but I’m very confident, based on my history of winning elections by a significant margin, ten points in 2020, that we will be the best candidate to run against Talarico.”
The media’s infatuation with Talarico reveals their priorities. They celebrate him as some fresh face, yet his positions mirror the radical left’s favorite son. Cornyn cut through the hype with precision.
“But much of the press loves him because he’s a different kind of Democrat. But he is really just a, Bernie Sanders, look alike, maybe not look alike, act alike. And, I think the contrast would be significant,” he stated.
Texas stands as a shining example of what conservative governance delivers. Hard work over years turned the state into a powerhouse that other parts of the country envy.
Families flock there for opportunity, low taxes, and freedom from heavy-handed rules.
Cornyn refuses to let those gains slip away: “We’ve fought too long and too hard in Texas to make our state the envy of the nation. And we’re not going backward, without a fight.”
