Ilhan Omar is trouble. That’s nothing new.

But Tom Homan just dropped the hammer with this update on Congresswoman Omar.

Tom Homan is not playing games. On a recent episode of Fox News’ Big Weekend Show, he laid out a clear message about Representative Ilhan Omar and the active federal probe into her immigration history.

The conversation turned to a recent raid that has drawn heavy attention. Many Americans watching the coverage were surprised to see enforcement reach this level, yet plenty of people had been waiting for it.

Suspicions and allegations surrounding Omar’s path to citizenship have circulated for years.

Co-host Tomi Lahren asked Homan directly:

“I think people were rather shocked to see this raid, and this has been something that many feel has been a long time coming, because there have been suspicions and allegations for a long time. What more can you tell us about it?”

“Well, look, I said over a year ago the allegations were made clear and it would be investigated. And they are investigating it. I’m not going to get ahead of, you know, the bureau or agency, but, you know, I’ve been told they have a strong case and we’ll let the evidence lead where it leads,” Homan said in response.

“But she’ll be held to the same standard you and I are held. If she violated law, then she will be held accountable. But I don’t have the specifics of the evidence they have line by line, but we’ll see where it leads. I think they’re doing a great investigation. I think they’re going to turn over every rock they’ve got with this.”

That statement alone should settle the debate for anyone still claiming this is political theater. Homan has been consistent.

He flagged the issues more than a year ago and said investigators would dig in. Now they are doing exactly that.

Lahren pressed further on the possible end result: “Would this involve denaturalizing and then deporting her, if it does turn out there is some kind of immigration fraud?”

Homan did not dodge. “Of course. If you lie during the naturalization process, there is a process to denaturalize somebody. We’ve done it before, it’s a long, tedious process, but it’s been done before. I’ve been involved with those investigations before, and certainly, if the evidence points that way, that could happen,” he stated.

There it is in plain English. Naturalization is not a participation trophy. If someone lied on the forms or withheld material facts, the government has the power and the duty to strip that status and remove the person.

Homan has personal experience with these cases. He knows the process is slow and demanding, but he also knows it works when the facts support it.

This is the standard every other American is held to. A congresswoman from Minnesota does not get a special exemption.

The law applies the same way whether the person is a private citizen or holds elected office. That principle is the entire point.
