Because the Illinois Governor’s shocking comments reveal why Democrats really pushed Biden out.
The Democratic Party’s disregard for the will of the people hit a new low this past weekend when Illinois Governor JB Pritzker danced around the reality that his party is forcing President Joe Biden off the 2024 ticket.
In an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, Pritzker’s comments painted a disturbing picture of a political party more concerned with power than democracy.
The remarks came after former Biden chief of staff Ron Klain openly criticized Democrats for pushing Biden aside. Klain’s candid assessment was a rare moment of truth from within the Biden camp. “I do think the president was pushed by public calls from elected officials for him to drop out, from donors calling him to drop out. And I think that was wrong,” Klain told CNN.
“The president had won the nomination fair and square; 14 million people went and voted for him and the vice president as vice president.”
Yet, when pressed on whether it was wrong for Democrats to ignore these voters and try to force Biden out, Pritzker refused to directly answer the question. Instead, he hedged, “Well, I want to remind you that, I mean, there is an enormous amount of reverence for Joe Biden.”

This blatant refusal to acknowledge the undemocratic actions of his party is shocking, but not surprising. The Democrats have shown time and again that they are more than willing to discard democracy when it no longer suits their agenda.
Their actions in this case reveal the truth: Democrats are panicking, and rather than trusting the voters who put Biden in office, they’re scrambling to secure their own power at any cost.
The idea that Democratic elites and donors might sideline Joe Biden, despite the fact that millions of Americans voted for him, is a clear sign of their contempt for the will of the people.
This is the same party that claims to champion democracy, yet in practice, they are ready to discard it when it threatens their control. They want to manipulate the electoral process to ensure they maintain their grip on the White House.
The Democrat Party leadership knows full well that Biden’s candidacy is floundering. His disastrous policies and economic mismanagement have tanked his approval ratings, and they’re seeing the writing on the wall.
But instead of letting the voters decide whether Biden deserves a second term, they are engaging in backroom deals and power plays to push him aside. This is not democracy — it’s the antithesis of it.
Pritzker himself admitted the cold, calculated reason for these moves: fear of Donald Trump. “There is a danger on the horizon here, and that is that Donald Trump might become president again,” Pritzker said. “And it’s a danger that a majority of Americans will reject. But they need to know that who they’re voting for is somebody that they can be excited and electrified by.”
Translation: Democrats are terrified of facing Trump in 2024. They know that Biden cannot beat Trump, so they are willing to trample over the democratic process to avoid another Trump presidency. Rather than respecting the voters’ choice, they are manipulating the system to stack the deck in their favor.
Pritzker’s attempt to boost Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as the future of the Democratic Party is almost laughable. Harris, whose tenure as vice president has been plagued by gaffes and a near-total absence of leadership, is hardly the “electrifying” candidate Democrats need.
She has been widely criticized for her failure to manage key issues such as immigration, and her approval ratings are consistently in the gutter.
Meanwhile, Tim Walz, a “good friend” of Pritzker, is being positioned as some sort of Midwestern everyman who can relate to the average voter. But this strategy reeks of desperation.
Walz is hardly a household name, and his liberal policies have done little to alleviate the struggles of the working-class Americans who are being crushed by Biden’s economic failures.
This is the Democratic Party’s solution to their Biden problem? Kamala Harris, a vice president whose incompetence is legendary, and Tim Walz, a governor who barely registers on the national stage? It’s clear that the Democrats are out of ideas and out of touch with what the American people want.
The fear of a Trump resurgence is the driving force behind the Democrats’ actions, and for good reason. Trump’s populist policies resonate with millions of Americans who feel left behind by the elitist, globalist agenda of the Democratic Party.
Under Trump, America saw record economic growth, job creation, and energy independence. His America First policies put the needs of everyday Americans above those of the political class and foreign interests.
In contrast, Biden’s presidency has been a disaster from day one. His administration’s failure to control inflation, soaring gas prices, and reckless spending have hurt working families across the country. Biden’s foreign policy blunders, including the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, have weakened America’s standing in the world.
The Democrats know they can’t beat Trump on the merits, so they are resorting to underhanded tactics to rig the 2024 election. But Trump’s message of economic prosperity, strong borders, and national pride continues to inspire millions.
No amount of Democrat meddling will change the fact that the American people are ready for real leadership, and they are tired of the Democrats’ destructive policies.
Democrats often lecture the country about protecting democracy, but their recent actions prove that they only care about democracy when it serves their interests. Whether it’s manipulating the electoral process, suppressing free speech, or weaponizing government institutions to target their political opponents, the Democrats have shown time and again that they do not believe in the principles of democracy.
JB Pritzker’s refusal to condemn his party’s attempts to push Biden aside is just the latest example of the Democrats’ authoritarian tendencies. They are willing to override the will of the voters in order to hold on to power. This is a dangerous precedent that should alarm every American, regardless of political affiliation.
The 2024 election will be a defining moment for our country. It’s not just a battle between Trump and the Democrats — it’s a battle for the soul of our democracy.
