People have had their suspicions about Obama. But now he’s proving everyone right.

Because Barack Obama came out at the DNC with a shocking action.

In a display of the same tired rhetoric, former President Barack Obama took aim at ex-President Donald Trump during his Democratic National Convention speech.

Predictably, Obama recycled his well-worn criticisms, this time zeroing in on what he called Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes,” all while making a questionable hand gesture that seemed to mock the very thing he was accusing Trump of.

As the headliner for night two of the DNC in Chicago, Obama kicked off his speech by trying to rile up the crowd at the United Center, declaring he was “feeling fired up and ready to go.”

But it wasn’t long before he turned his attention to bashing Trump, who continues to be a thorn in the side of Democrats everywhere.

After throwing his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s nominee, Obama couldn’t resist taking a swipe at his successor, accusing Trump of incessant “whining” ever since he first announced his candidacy in 2016.

According to Obama, Trump’s attitude has only deteriorated because he’s supposedly “afraid of losing to Kamala.”

“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago,” Obama sneered, feeding the DNC audience the red meat they crave.

Obama then trotted out his usual criticisms of Trump, lambasting the 45th president’s use of “childish nicknames,” “crazy conspiracy theories,” and, of course, that “weird obsession with crowd sizes.”

As if to hammer the point home, Obama made a peculiar hand gesture when mentioning “sizes,” which drew raucous laughter and applause from the audience—who, unsurprisingly, reveled in the former president’s not-so-subtle insinuation.

The two-term president didn’t stop there. He went on to liken Trump’s behavior to “an annoying neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day,” further playing to the crowd’s desire for more anti-Trump vitriol.

Finally, Obama urged voters to reject Trump’s bid for a second term, trotting out the tired line that “the sequel is usually worse.”

According to Obama, “We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse.”

Ironically, Trump, just hours before Obama’s speech, told CNN that he actually “likes” Obama, describing him as “a nice gentleman” but criticizing his trade policies as disastrous.

“I think he’s a nice gentleman, but he was very weak on trade. If you take a look at what happened to our country trade-wise, it was a disaster,” Trump stated, showing a level of restraint that Obama would never reciprocate.

Meanwhile, former First Lady Michelle Obama took the stage before her husband to rally support for Harris, pushing voters to “do something” and not wait for personal invitations from the campaign.

“This is your official ask, Michelle Obama is asking you, no I’m telling y’all to do something,” she demanded, as if anyone had forgotten who she was.

The Democrats wrapped up their convention for the night with a benediction, setting the stage for more speeches from the likes of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday night.
