Rubio, a Republican from Florida, is expected to resign from the Senate to assume a new role as U.S. Secretary of State under President-elect Donald Trump.
In a separate interview with FOX News’ Sean Hannity, Lara Trump further confirmed her willingness, stating she “would love to serve the people of Florida” and would “love to consider” the opportunity to fill the seat if asked.
