Tim Walz Rallies South Carolina Democrats with Calls for Bullying
In a charged address at a Democratic event in South Carolina on Saturday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivered a bold call to action, urging party members to take a tougher stance against President Donald Trump.
The former 2024 vice presidential candidate didn’t hold back, infusing his keynote speech with sharp words and threats that energized the crowd of radical Leftists.
“Maybe it’s time for us to be a little meaner, a little bit more fierce,” Walz declared, earning loud cheers from the audience.
Drawing on his background as a teacher, Walz framed his argument through the lens of confronting bad behavior. “The thing that bothers a teacher more than anything is to watch a bully,” he said.
“And when it’s a child, you talk to them and you tell them why bullying is wrong.” But when it comes to an adult like President Trump, Walz didn’t mince words: “You bully the s–t out of him back.”
Labeling Trump a “wannabe dictator,” Walz painted the president as a significant threat. “Donald is the existential threat we knew was coming,” he said, acknowledging the tough road ahead for Democrats.
“It is going to be a challenging few years here.” Yet, he rallied the crowd to channel their resolve, saying, “We’ve got the guts and we need to have it to push back on the bullies and the greed.”
Despite the hateful and absurd rhetoric, Walz struck a lighter note, encouraging the audience to find joy amid the fight. “D*mnit, we should be able to have some fun and be joyful,” the former VP candidate said.
Walz didn’t shy away from poking fun at Trump’s policies, taking aim at the president’s so-called “big, beautiful bill.” He quipped, “I used to teach Fourth Grade and I was gonna say it sounded like something a Fourth Grader came up with, but that would be insulting to my Fourth Graders.”
The Minnesota governor also took time to praise his former running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “well-accomplished.”
“D*mnit, I would love to turn on the TV and see her instead of what we see every day,” he said, drawing applause.
Walz’s blunt, blue-collar style has landed him in hot water before. He previously took a jab at Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, celebrating a dip in the company’s stock price as “a little boost during the day.”
The comment backfired when it emerged that Minnesota’s state pension fund holds Tesla shares, prompting Walz to call himself a “knucklehead.”
