Ocasi-Cortez is one of the worst congressmembers the U.S. has. She’s now been hit with a dose of humility.
And AOC got slapped in the face by a fellow Democrat during a heated debate.
Fetterman Stands Firm on Trump’s Iran Strikes, Dismisses Impeachment Push By AOC
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat known for his outspoken support of Israel, has publicly backed President Trump’s recent military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, brushing off calls for impeachment from radical Leftist voices within his party, including New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
In a pointed interview on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, Fetterman dismissed the idea of impeaching Trump over the Saturday airstrikes on Iran’s Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan nuclear sites. “Of course, no, she knows it. I know it. We all know it,” he said when asked about the prospect of impeachment.
“That’s not going anywhere on. And you know, he’s been impeached twice, and now he’s still our president.”
Fetterman argued that casually invoking impeachment risks diluting its weight, suggesting it should be reserved for far graver offenses. “I think if you throw that term around, that actually diminishes what the severity of what impeachment is really reserved for,” he stated.
The strikes, ordered by Trump and described by him as causing “monumental damage,” targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Military officials are still evaluating the full extent of the impact.
Ocasio-Cortez, a prominent figure in the progressive “Squad,” swiftly condemned the move, labeling it a constitutional overreach. “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” she declared.
“He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”
Other Democrats, like Illinois Representative Sean Casten, shared her sentiment, calling the strikes an “unambiguous impeachable offense.” Yet Democratic leadership has stopped short of endorsing impeachment, instead criticizing Trump for bypassing Congress before launching the attacks.
Fetterman, however, sees the strikes as a justified and limited action, not an act of war. “For me, that’s not a war. That was a very limited military exercise, and it struck that, and then that’s where we’re at,” he said on America’s Newsroom.
“It really wasn’t about unconstitutional or it’s anything like that. It was like a very, very limited military engagement.”
A vocal advocate for targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, Fetterman has long warned of the dangers posed by a nuclear-armed Iran. His stance aligns with his unwavering support for Israel, especially since Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on the Jewish state.
“Our party has been often wrong, and they were pushing for a ceasefire last year. And now Israel pushed through that and has broken Hamas and Hezbollah,” he said.
“Israel has air supremacy over [Iran] right now. Their capabilities are severely limited. And now that was an entirely appropriate to finally take out those nuclear facilities.”
Despite the strikes, tensions remain high. Following Fetterman’s interview, nearly a dozen Iranian missiles targeted the U.S.’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest American military base in the Middle East. Initial reports indicate all missiles were intercepted.

Fetterman’s vocal defense of the strikes and rejection of impeachment point to a deep divide within the Democratic Party, with moderates like him clashing with its radical Leftist wing. It’s very possible that this divide will only grow wider as time goes on.
