The Left is known for floating some pretty wacky ideas. But this may take the cake.

Because a House Democrat issues a treasonous statement they wish they could take back.

Democrats’ Desperate Push for 25th Amendment Over Trump’s Greenland Strategy

In a move that reeks of partisan hysteria, Arizona Democratic Rep. Yassamin Ansari took to X to brand President Trump as “extremely mentally ill” following his bold text exchange with Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre about Greenland’s strategic importance.

Ansari’s outburst, which urged immediate invocation of the 25th Amendment, exemplifies how Democrats are quick to weaponize mental health smears against Trump whenever he asserts America’s interests abroad.

This latest episode stems from Trump’s Sunday message questioning Denmark’s control over Greenland and advocating for U.S. oversight to counter threats from Russia and China, tying it to his unmatched contributions to NATO. While Trump’s approach highlights proactive national security thinking, critics like Ansari frame it as instability, ignoring the real geopolitical stakes in the Arctic.

“The president of the United States is extremely mentally ill and it’s putting all of our lives at risk. The 25th Amendment exists for a reason — we need to invoke it immediately,” Ansari posted.

From Trump’s reported text message to Støre: “Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” followed by, “Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway?” … “There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you!”

Norway’s Pushback and Democrats’ Echo Chamber of Criticism

Norway’s leader swiftly rebuffed Trump’s proposal via text and a public statement, emphasizing Denmark’s sovereignty over Greenland and NATO’s role in regional stability—while clarifying that the Nobel Peace Prize isn’t a government handout.

Støre’s diplomatic nudge for a de-escalatory call underscores the tensions Trump’s straightforward diplomacy can stir among allies, yet Democrats seized on it to amplify their removal calls, revealing a pattern of exploiting foreign policy disagreements for domestic political gain.

Other party figures, like Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, piled on with similar 25th Amendment demands, portraying Trump as “unfit” in what appears to be a coordinated effort to undermine his leadership rather than engage on substance.

Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in response (via text, as reported): “Dear Mr President, dear Donald — on the contact across the Atlantic — on Greenland, Gaza, Ukraine — and your tariff announcement yesterday. You know our position on these issues. But we believe we all should work to take this down and de-escalate — so much is happening around us where we need to stand together. We are proposing a call with you later today — with both of us or separately — give us a hint of what you prefer!”

Støre in a public statement: “Norway’s position on Greenland is clear. Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Norway fully supports the Kingdom of Denmark on this matter. We also support that NATO in a responsible way is taking steps to strengthen security and stability in the Arctic.

As regards the Nobel Peace Prize, I have clearly explained, including to President Trump what is well known, the prize is awarded by an independent Nobel Committee and not the Norwegian Government.”

Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove: “Donald Trump is unfit to lead and clearly out of control. Invoke the 25th Amendment.”

Partisan Overreach Amid Trump’s Global Security Focus

As Democrats ramp up their rhetoric, invoking the 25th Amendment—a tool meant for genuine incapacity—over Trump’s Greenland ambitions smacks of desperation, especially given his history of bolstering NATO and averting conflicts.

The White House has yet to respond to inquiries, but the episode ties into broader discussions of Arctic security, with Trump doubling down on U.S. interests in related posts.

While some Republicans align with his vision for protecting Greenland from adversaries, the Democratic frenzy risks alienating voters tired of endless impeachment-style tactics, prioritizing political theater over addressing real threats like those from Russia and China.
