Trump is always one to make improvements. He’s hardly ever satisfied.
And Donald Trump unveiled a ground-breaking update on the White House.
President Trump is once again proving he’s a leader who gets things done, unveiling a stunning new vision for the White House that harkens back to America’s grand traditions. On Tuesday, he shared a fresh rendering of the upcoming White House ballroom via his Truth Social platform, giving everyday Americans a glimpse of what’s in store.
The image captures the majestic ballroom, set to take the place of the outdated East Wing, with a sweeping view over a lush green lawn. To the right, the iconic White House stands proudly in the background, blending seamlessly with this bold addition.
“This beautiful building will be, when complete, the much anticipated White House Ballroom — The Greatest of its kind ever built!” Trump said in his Truth Social post.
“It is a rendering from the Treasury Building, directly across the street, and replaces the very small, dilapidated, and rebuilt many times, East Wing, with a magnificent New East Wing, consisting of a glorious Ballroom that has been asked for by Presidents for over 150 years.”
“Being an identical height and scale, it is totally in keeping with our historic White House. This is the first rendering shown to the Public. If you notice, the North Wall is a replica of the North Facade of the White House, shown at the right hand side of the picture. This space will serve our Country well for, hopefully, Centuries into the future!” the president stated.
This project isn’t just about luxury—it’s about honoring the legacy of our nation’s leaders while fixing what’s been neglected for far too long. Work kicked off in October with the demolition of the old East Wing, paving the way for something truly extraordinary.
And here’s the best part: this ambitious endeavor won’t cost taxpayers a dime. The estimated $250 million price tag will be covered entirely by President Trump himself and generous private donors who believe in restoring American excellence.
Trump has made it clear he’s hands-on with every detail, ensuring the ballroom fits perfectly with the White House’s timeless style. He personally greenlit the designs to avoid any modern eyesore that might overshadow our historic landmark.
Unlike past administrations that tinkered with the grounds for personal hobbies, this upgrade serves a real purpose. Remember when Barack Obama swapped out the tennis court for a basketball setup back in 2009? Trump’s vision goes bigger, creating a space for national gatherings that Presidents have dreamed of for generations.
Leading the charge on design and construction is architect James McCrery, a true master of classical and traditional styles. As a professor at the Catholic University of America, he’s brought his expertise to projects like the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“Presidents in the modern era have faced challenges hosting major events at the White House because it has been untouched since President Harry Truman,” McCrery stated last year.
“I am honored that President Trump has entrusted me to help bring this beautiful and necessary renovation to The People’s House,” he continued, “while preserving the elegance of its classical design and historical importance.”
Trump has emphasized how the ballroom will echo the White House’s architecture while incorporating smart, up-to-date elements like bulletproof glass for security in these uncertain times.
“We’re going to have a phenomenal ballroom. It’s going to be one of the best anywhere in the world. There won’t be anything like it, actually,” he stated.
“It’s four sides of glass, beautiful glass, but totally appropriate in color and in window shape and everything else with the White House moldings, so it’s going to be very much in keeping with the White House.”
