RINOs have always been a problem. But this goes beyond what we’ve ever seen.

Because now a GOP candidate admitted they are lying about being a Republican.

Progressive Pretender Challenges GOP Incumbent in North Carolina

In a bold move that’s stirring up controversy, Kate Barr, a self-proclaimed progressive, has thrown her hat into the Republican primary ring for North Carolina’s 14th Congressional District, openly admitting she’s no true conservative but aiming to unseat established Republican Rep. Tim Moore.

Barr, who filed her candidacy paperwork on November 6, positions her unconventional run as a direct response to what she calls rigged electoral maps that favor entrenched GOP figures, allowing little room for genuine competition in general elections.

Barr’s campaign website lays it bare right on the homepage, declaring she’s running as a Republican solely “the only way to kick these corrupt cowards out of office” because Republicans have “rigged the maps” to guarantee their wins “every time.”

She emphasizes, “The general election has already been decided. So – the primary is the only competition for this job.” This tactic highlights a growing concern among true conservatives about infiltrators diluting the party’s core principles, much like the RINOs who compromise on key issues.

Viral Video Exposes Barr’s True Colors

The revelation gained massive traction through a podcast clip that’s exploding online, where Barr faces tough questions about her motives and whether she’s deceiving voters. When asked, “Are you trying to trick people?”

Barr shot back, “If you go on the campaign website, above the fold as they call it, is like, ‘I’m not a real Republican.’ Like, I am telling people the truth. I knock on a door and say, ‘I am running in the Republican primary, but I am not a Republican, I am a progressive.’”

She further explained her shift, noting, “I can’t claim a Democrat anymore,” and insisted her aim isn’t “to pull a fast one,” but rather she’s “being dead honest with people about what I would do if I win.”

In a follow-up statement, Barr doubled down on her transparency, saying she’s been “honest” from day one and slamming Moore as “terrible for the voters of district 14,” accusing him of enriching himself while constituents suffer, all thanks to his alleged district rigging.

Such admissions underscore the risks of allowing progressive ideologies to masquerade under the GOP banner, eroding the trust of real Republican voters.

Backlash Grows Against Trojan Horse Tactics in GOP

While Barr attributes her strategy to Republican gerrymandering, critics have lambasted it as outright cheating and a shameful ploy, fueling debates about party integrity.

However, not all conservatives are up in arms; Second Amendment advocate Cam Edwards downplayed the fuss on X, pointing out, “I hate to burst the outrage bubble, but she’s not making a big secret out of this. It’s her whole schtick, and it’s front and center on her campaign website.”

This episode serves as a wake-up call for the GOP to root out RINO elements that blur the lines between conservative values and left-leaning agendas, ensuring primaries remain battlegrounds for authentic Republican ideas rather than vehicles for opportunistic crossovers.
