The left are worried. This candidate is in complete free fall.

And Senator Booker is hitting the panic button over this fellow Democrat’s campaign.

In the heat of a crucial Senate battle in Maine, Democratic leaders are scrambling to defend their embattled candidate Graham Platner amid a growing pile of personal scandals.

On Sunday’s ABC This Week, even leftist Sen. Cory Booker from New Jersey had to admit the obvious problems surrounding Platner.

The controversies keep mounting for Platner, the presumptive Democratic nominee. Fresh reports from The Wall Street Journal detail how his own wife, Amy, alerted the campaign during vetting about s*xually explicit texts Platner allegedly exchanged with at least half a dozen other women.

Platner’s wife later took to X to defend their relationship in a video. Yet these revelations have left many voters wondering what kind of judgment this candidate brings to the table.

When pressed by host Jonathan Karl about whether these issues could sink Democratic chances in Maine, Booker conceded the point.

“Yes, I have concerns. That guy has questions to answer. And that’s what campaigns are for,” the senator stated.

But true to form, Booker quickly shifted away from the uncomfortable personal failings of his party’s candidate.

Instead, he launched into familiar talking points about health care struggles and family costs, painting a picture of everyday Americans supposedly desperate for more Democrat control in Washington.

“But when I go all over New Jersey and see hundreds and hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans losing their health care and millions more seeing their health care costs go up, as I have families who say I can’t afford gas for my car and child care for my children, I know that so much is riding on Democrats taking control of the Senate,” Booker said.

Booker warned that failure to flip the Senate would leave power in the hands of what he calls an “out-of-control president.” He painted a dire scenario where conservative leadership threatens the nation.

“This election, if we do not get the votes necessary to take care of the House and the Senate, we will continue to have an out-of-control president,” he continued.

The New Jersey senator didn’t stop there. He doubled down on attacks against President Trump, labeling him a “lame duck” growing more dangerous by the day.

“And I’m going to tell you right now is he is a lame duck president. He’s becoming more and more dangerous. Just look overseas at the war we’re in, the lives being lost, the billions being spent, and now he is shamefully trying to crawl back and try to get us back to where we were before the war even started. This man is dangerous, and it’s time that we take back the Senate. And that’s what I’m focused on,” Booker stated.

This deflection tactic reveals much about today’s Democrat strategy. When their candidates face legitimate character questions involving marriage and personal conduct, party elites pivot straight to fearmongering about conservatives.
