The Left needs to get a grip. One of these days it’s going to be too late.
And now Donald Trump was put on lockdown after another attempt on his life.
Man Caught Scoping Out Trump’s Golf Course Had an Arsenal Waiting at Home
A California man was taken into custody Sunday after federal agents caught him photographing security preparations at Trump National Golf Club days ahead of the president’s visit — and a subsequent search turned up a stockpile of weapons at his home.
Suspicious Behavior on the Course Triggers Alarm
Jeanine John Taele, 38, of Downey, was arrested after plainclothes federal agents spotted him walking the grounds of the Rancho Palos Verdes golf club, snapping photos and video while appearing to monitor security-planning activities, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies from the Lomita Sheriff’s Station responded around 3:30 p.m. and quickly discovered Taele was already under investigation for robbery by the El Segundo Police Department.
During a pat-down, deputies say they found a 16-round magazine loaded with hollow-point ammunition in Taele’s pants pocket. A search of his vehicle in the golf course parking lot turned up a loaded pistol with a round chambered, along with another magazine of hollow-point ammunition. He was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and possessing prohibited ammunition.
A Home Search Reveals a Much Bigger Cache
The discovery was enough to prompt detectives with the Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau, working alongside the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, to obtain a search warrant for Taele’s Downey home. What they found there raised the stakes considerably: an illegally modified AR-platform rifle, a 1911 .45-caliber pistol, an AR-platform upper receiver, body armor, high-capacity magazines, bulk pistol and rifle ammunition, two radio signal devices, and multiple notebooks containing what authorities described as “concerning statements.”
The investigation is now being handled jointly by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the U.S. Secret Service. Officials say additional charges could still be filed as the case develops.
Case Heads to Prosecutors as Investigation Continues
Investigators presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday for filing consideration, and Taele remains in custody. Authorities say they’ve identified no credible threat to the surrounding community at this time, though they stressed the investigation remains active.
