The White House is desperately trying to buoy Biden’s image. But it’s proving to be an impossible task.

And now Joe Biden is spiraling after Mike Johnson hit him with a devastating reality check.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., has issued a pre-rebuttal to President Biden’s State of the Union speech, just hours before the commander-in-chief arrives on Capitol Hill.

Johnson published a new video Thursday morning that lasts around a minute and a half and highlights the challenges that have afflicted the United States throughout Biden’s presidency.

The House speaker also attacked Biden in a message to Fox News Digital, calling for a “real leader” in the White House.

“The State of the Union address will offer the American people an opportunity to hear directly from the president – a rare occurrence during his tenure in office,” Johnson said.

“In just three years, President Biden’s policies have rapidly accelerated American decline on every issue from the economy to national security and foreign policy. The American people don’t need empty words on a page for a reset. We need better policies and a real leader,” he added.

The film is a compilation of news clips and voice bites that starts with Biden saying, “The state of the union is strong.”

It then cuts to anchors and pundits explaining the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border, including the influx of asylum seekers straining state and municipal resources and the flood of illegal fentanyl that kills Americans on a daily basis.

The film also discusses Biden’s support for “Bidenomics” despite the previous two years’ high inflation rates and rising grocery store costs, as well as China’s escalating hostility toward Taiwan and on the global arena.

It’s part of Republicans’ counter-programming efforts ahead of Biden’s major speech to a joint session of Congress at 9 p.m. ET.

And it was received with much agreement from figures like Elon Musk.

On Wednesday, Johnson revealed that Rep. Monica De La Cruz, R-Texas, will present the Spanish-language rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union.

It comes as the GOP looks to make big inroads among Hispanic and Latino voters.

“As the first Latina and first Republican to represent her district, Congresswoman De La Cruz’s journey to Congress is nothing short of inspirational and encapsulates the very essence of what it means to live the American dream. Sadly, that dream is slipping away after three years of an open border, runaway inflation and a nation inviting aggression and projecting weakness on the world stage,” Johnson said.

The formal reply will be delivered by freshman Senator Katie Britt, R-Alabama.
