There’s no more hiding from reality. Joe Biden has to confront it.

Especially now that the truth about the Biden campaign has finally come out.

Potential Biden Replacements Show Better Poll Numbers Against Trump, Says MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki

On Tuesday, MSNBC data expert Steve Kornacki highlighted a new CNN poll revealing that four potential Democratic candidates could perform better against former President Donald Trump than President Joe Biden. This comes in the wake of criticism Biden has faced from within his own party, especially following a CNN debate last Thursday where he experienced several verbal missteps.

Kornacki, discussing the poll with MSNBC host Chris Jansing, noted that Biden currently trails Trump by six points. In contrast, Vice President Kamala Harris trails Trump by only two points. “First up, here’s the CNN poll. This is new, came out just this afternoon,” Kornacki explained. “They have Trump leading nationally 49% to 43%, a six-point lead over Joe Biden. The last time CNN polled this race in April, they showed the same numbers. So, from that standpoint, you don’t see a change in CNN’s numbers from before. A six-point Trump lead in any poll is about as big a lead as you’re going to see for Trump in any poll that’s out there right now.”

Kornacki emphasized the significance of these consistent results. “In April, when that 49-43 number came out, many considered it an outlier because it was so different from other polls. Outliers can sometimes happen as statistical blips. But the fact that this six-point lead for Trump has been replicated suggests there might be more at work here than just a statistical anomaly, especially after Biden’s recent debate performance and the subsequent criticism.”

The CNN poll also tested Trump’s performance against other potential Democratic candidates, including Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Democratic Governors Gavin Newsom of California and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan. The results showed Trump leading Harris 47% to 45%, Buttigieg 47% to 43%, Newsom 48% to 43%, and Whitmer 47% to 42%.

Kornacki pointed out the implications of these findings. “CNN also polled Trump against Kamala Harris. What if Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden? Trump leads Biden by six points, but only by two points against Harris. CNN also tested three other Democrats against Trump, and Biden’s six-point gap is the worst among them. That’s the CNN poll.”

In response to these poll results, Democrat Representative Lloyd Doggett of Texas issued a statement on Tuesday calling for Biden to step down.

Mr. Lloyd Doggett isn’t the only one breaking the dam of silence on the giant elephant in the room that is Joe Biden’s mental health and ability to fulfill the office. Democrat U.S. Representative Jared Golden made headlines when he also came out and announced that he believes Donald Trump is easily going to win a second term in the White House.

Mr. Jared Golden also said that the Left needs to stop with the fear-mongering over how Trump is somehow a “threat” to democracy and constantly bringing up January 6 as some catastrophe like Pearl Harbor was back in 1941. The hyperbole has become too much for him to stomach.

As one could expect, the meltdown in reaction to Jared Golden has been crazy to watch. Democrats are losing their minds that one of their own was willing to admit that a second Trump term wasn’t the end of the world.

As for Kamala Harris, she’s largely been lost in this whole process. She has largely been viewed as too unpopular to win an election against Donald Trump, given that her approval ratings have often been much worse than even Joe Biden’s abysmal numbers.

Now, polls showing Harris with an edge over Joe Biden has to be a real wake up call for the Democrats. The only thing, though, is that you can take it one of two ways leading up to the 2024 election cycle.

You can either see Harris outperforming Joe Biden in a hypothetical matchup against Donald Trump as a potential positive for the current vice president. Or, you can view it as Joe Biden now being such an impossible candidate that he’s even performing worse than his own vice president who virtually no one really likes.

Either way, it’s a rock and a hard place for Joe Biden and the Democrats. How this turns out is impossible to say, but it would be absolutely insane to see Joe Biden somehow make it to a general election against Donald Trump.

Especially not with the odds just getting worse and worse for Joe Biden. When will a trigger be pulled? Time will tell. But it feels like a question of when, not if.
