The Democrats are reeling on all fronts. They can’t believe how badly they lost.

And now a top Dem in Congress just gave an extremely weird answer to why Kamala Harris lost.

There’s probably a million valid reasons for why Kamala Harris ultimately lost to Donald Trump. The political pundits and talking heads in the media have been talking about the reasons and giving their perspective ever since the election concluded and Trump’s resounding victory became clear.

Many of the perspectives are valid, but some Democrats are now completely missing the point of the Trump win. It’s not just going over their heads, it’s apparently flying over their heads like a jet over an ant hill. They’re coming up with the strangest excuses for Kamala Harris’s embarrassing loss.

Dem Rep. Ro Khanna Blames Kamala Harris Loss On Missing Opportunity to Appear on Joe Rogan’s Podcast Before the Election

Democratic Representative Ro Khanna of California expressed regret on Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris did not take the opportunity to appear on Joe Rogan’s influential podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, ahead of the 2024 election.

Khanna’s remarks came after Rogan revealed that a planned one-on-one interview with Harris had fallen through. According to Rogan, the Harris campaign had requested that he travel to interview the vice president but only for a limited one-hour session. Rogan declined this offer, and the interview never materialized. The decision to skip such a high-profile podcast, which boasts millions of listeners, was a missed opportunity, Khanna argued.

“I’m confident we’re gonna rebuild in 2026 and we’ll win back the White House in 2028, and we gotta listen, we gotta go on some of these podcasts,” Khanna said during an appearance on MSNBC’s Jen Psaki Reports. “I was just on All In [with Chris Hayes], saying we should’ve done, in my view, Joe Rogan. Go on all the podcasts, listen to what we need to know, and have a compelling economic message.”

Khanna added that although he was disappointed by the campaign’s decision, he remained optimistic about the future of the Democratic Party. “But I’m still very hopeful about the party and our future,” he emphasized.

Rogan’s podcast, which is known for hosting a wide variety of political figures and celebrities, has a massive audience. In fact, President-elect Donald Trump appeared on the show for an interview on October 26 that lasted nearly three hours and garnered more than 46.7 million views as of the following Thursday. Rogan, who has a reputation for engaging with a diverse range of guests, endorsed Trump just one day before the election.

As of early Wednesday morning, Trump had secured a decisive victory, leading the race with 295 electoral votes, while key states like Arizona and Nevada were still being counted.

While it’s true that Donald Trump did get a ton of eyeballs on his interview with Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience, the reality is that it did not cost Kamala Harris the election as Khanna has tried to imply.

He argues she was “ahead” until the final two weeks, but not even the incorrect polls that underestimated Donald Trump yet again suggested that. He was leading in Pennsylvania by the time October rolled around. Again, this is without factoring in the underestimation of Trump’s Election Day performance.

You can say that Kamala Harris, in part, lost because of her failure to make herself seem like a real candidate with honest, and plentiful interviews throughout the entire cycle. But that’s not the same as saying she was ahead until she decided to skip the Rogan interview.

Plenty of the voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, all of which Donald Trump won, may have voted for Trump having no idea who Joe Rogan even is. That’s a fact and the Democrats are once again missing it.

Their party is undecided about how to take this victory and it’s leading some to seriously question if a Democrat Party political civil war is on the way.
