CNN desperately tried to cut the cameras when asked this one question

The mainstream media doesn’t know what to do. Their networks are falling apart and burning down.

That’s why CNN desperately tried to cut the cameras when this one question was asked live.

CNN is usually really good at trying to prevent the really tough questions from being asked of their hosts and employees while the cameras are live and rolling. There’s countless examples of the cameras suddenly “not working” when conservatives and liberty-minded Americans are bringing the hard truths to the table. It’s funny how that works.

They definitely wish that would have been the case before a CNN contributor was able to quickly ask this one question that plunged the CNN set into chaos. A CNN panel was discussing the pardoning of Joe Biden’s son Hunter and the implications of this move, and that’s when CNN’s contributor and Republican strategist Scott Jennings flipped the narrative around on the Leftists on the set.

Republican Strategist Raises Questions About Merrick Garland’s Future Amid Hunter Biden Pardon Debate

A tense exchange unfolded on CNN Monday night after Republican strategist Scott Jennings questioned whether Attorney General Merrick Garland should be fired due to alleged “corruption” at the Department of Justice (DOJ). The comments came in the wake of President Joe Biden’s Sunday night announcement that he had pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, claiming Hunter was being “singled out” because of his familial ties.

Jennings, who referred to Biden’s statement about the pardon, sparked the debate by asking the panel, “Do you all think that Merrick Garland should be fired because of this corruption at the DOJ?”

Leigh McGowan, one of the panelists, quickly responded, rejecting the notion of corruption at the DOJ. “I think the concern is the future DOJ is going to be corrupted,” McGowan said.

But Jennings pressed the issue further, asking the panel, “You think this was a politicized witch hunt, but the attorney general should be held accountable, no?” Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York, a fellow panelist, responded by defending the charges against Hunter Biden, claiming they were exaggerated because of his last name. “These charges were trumped up because his name is Hunter Biden,” Bowman snapped.

Jennings challenged Bowman’s argument, questioning whether, if he were president, he would trust the attorney general. Bowman then turned to former prosecutor Elliot Williams, who acknowledged that Hunter Biden had indeed engaged in unlawful conduct, but questioned the fairness of the prosecution. “It is unlawful conduct. We can all agree to that. He was convicted — duly convicted,” Williams said. However, he also noted, “I have a hard time seeing how that gun charge would have been brought were he not Hunter Biden.”

Williams added that it was possible for both points to be true: that the high-profile nature of the case played a role in the prosecution, but it still involved conduct deserving of a pardon.

Hunter Biden’s legal troubles stem from his 2018 purchase of a Colt .38-caliber revolver, which led to felony gun charges in June. He also pled guilty to federal tax charges in September. Jennings then questioned why Hunter Biden was not just pardoned for the gun charge alone. Bowman and McGowan’s interruptions led to a heated debate, with Bowman arguing that Republicans were focusing on Hunter Biden to discredit the Biden family and the Democratic Party.

Williams brought up a comparison to Richard Nixon, stating that while some conduct may go uncharged, the DOJ could still investigate further. “There is uncharged conduct that could still be investigated, that because of the fact that the Justice Department is still looking at,” Williams explained.

The discussion took another turn when Bowman claimed that former President Donald Trump was “pardoned by the Supreme Court,” which CNN host Abby Phillip corrected, stating, “Or you could say, by the American — by the American people,” referring to Trump’s resounding victory in the 2024 election.

President Biden giving his son Hunter the nod for a pardon is a seriously difficult issue for the Democrats and the Left because they can’t have their cake and eat it too. They say that this was a politicized legal attack against Hunter, but it was directed by the Joe Biden Department of Justice, which successfully earned convictions against the Biden family son.

Now that the “law and order” shtick is gone and done with since Donald Trump demolished Kamala Harris in the election, they no longer have to keep up that facade. So the pardon wand comes out and completely knocks down the house of cards that the Democrats were trying to build around their “law and order” fake personality.

Now, Scott Jennings just asking the honest question about whether the Democrats believe the Department of Justice has been corrupted breaks the brains of those on the Left because it forces them to acknowledge one of the main reasons Donald Trump won.
