CNN is the definition of fake news. They simply can’t tell the truth.
And a CNN anchor has an aneurysm live on air thanks to what this Trump official said.
White House Deputy Assistant Sebastian Gorka didn’t hold back during a explosive exchange on CNN’s State of the Union this Sunday. Facing off against anchor Brianna Keilar, Gorka tore into the network’s biased narrative while discussing the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.
The tragedy struck just days ago, claiming innocent lives in a place of faith and learning. But instead of focusing on the facts, Keilar tried to downplay a key detail: the shooter identified as transgender. Gorka wasn’t having it, calling out the media’s attempt to bury the truth under piles of misleading stats.
Keilar jumped in with her talking points, trying to shift the blame away from ideology. “You know, 96% of attackers — when you’re looking at the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center, looking at 172 mass attacks in the US between 2016 and 2020 — 96% were non-trans men. So I know you’re focusing on this shooter being trans,” she said. “The shooter was trans — and that is certainly of note. But are you missing the bigger picture here when you zero in on that instead of more broadly these school shooters as an epidemic and you perhaps miss the through line that connects them all?”
Gorka fired back without missing a beat, exposing how CNN twists data to fit their agenda. He pointed out that her numbers lumped in gang wars and street crimes that have nothing to do with targeted attacks on schools.
“Well, no, because your facts obfuscate two things. You are using data based upon the predominant gun violence – which is gang-on-gang violence with zero ideological content. If you remove all of that, the gang violence on the streets of Chicago, LA, Detroit, then you come down to a much smaller data set,” Gorka said.
He didn’t stop there, drawing a sharp line between real mass shootings and the junk stats the left loves to peddle. “So it’s like those who say, you know, gun violence in America causes so many deaths, and then fail to note that the majority of the stats they are using refer to also suicides by gun — which, of course, is not what we are talking about here today. So let’s concentrate on mass shootings at schools — specifically Christian or Catholic schools. Then the data set is wholly different.”
Gorka hammered home the ideological angle, something the mainstream media desperately wants to ignore. These aren’t random acts; they’re driven by hate, especially when they target places of worship like Catholic schools.
“So don’t conflate different data sets just to make a political point. There was an ideological content to this attack. That’s what terrorism is. It’s not because somebody didn’t get the drug deal they wanted. It is an ideological message,” he added.
Keilar tried to narrow it down, claiming only three out of the last 32 school shooters were trans. But Gorka saw right through the spin, refusing to swallow CNN’s version of the truth.
“Yeah, forgive me if I don’t go with CNN stats, OK? CNN has proven itself to be wholly inaccurate in all kinds of things for the last 10 years — perpetrators of the Russia hoax, and that we didn’t have an open border. So please forgive me if I didn’t take your stats for granted,” he said.
The anchor pushed harder, insisting it was just “simple math.” But Gorka called it what it was: outright distortion meant to protect a radical agenda.
“No, it’s not, it’s distortions! You are distorting the facts!” he said. “Let me be clear. In just a couple of years, we have seen seven mass shootings involving people of transgender nature, or who are confused in their gender, seven in just the last couple of years! …I’m going to stick with the facts and not CNN’s pseudo facts.”
Keilar even tried to flip the script, saying one of those seven “used anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.” But that only proved Gorka’s point about the media’s selective outrage.
Gorka shifted to the real outrage: how these shooters are often on law enforcement’s radar, yet nothing gets done.
This clash exposes the deep rot in legacy media like CNN, where facts take a backseat to pushing a leftist narrative. Gorka stood tall, defending common sense against the elite’s distortions.
Americans are fed up with networks that peddle hoaxes like Russia collusion while ignoring real crises at our borders and in our schools. Gorka’s refusal to back down resonates with everyday folks tired of the lies.
