Swift Response at Joint Base Andrews Neutralizes Suspicious Powder Threat – All American Heroes Safe

In a textbook display of American military readiness, Joint Base Andrews – the legendary home of Air Force One – locked down and neutralized a potential chemical attack Thursday after a suspicious package laced with white powder arrived on base.

Several people who fell ill after a suspicious package containing white powder was delivered to a US military base have been cleared by medics, officials said.

The sickened were taken to the base’s Malcolm Grove Medical Center after an individual opened the package at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Thursday, sources familiar with the investigation told CNN.

They were all “evaluated and treated by JBA medical personnel, determined to be in stable condition, and released yesterday,” officials said in an update Friday.

Our elite first responders and hazmat teams swarmed the scene within minutes, evacuating buildings, throwing up a rock-solid cordon, and running instant field tests that shut down any danger before it could spread.

“As a precaution, the building and connecting building were evacuated, and a cordon was established around the area,” the statement added.

“Joint Base Andrews first responders were dispatched to the scene, determined there were no immediate threats, and normal operations have resumed.”

An initial field test from the hazmat team did not detect anything hazardous, but the investigation remains ongoing.
