Joe Biden’s time as president has been a disaster. But he continues to find ways to make it worse.
And President Biden committed a humiliating blunder that’s sent the White House into an all out panic.
During an event in New Orleans to promote the Biden administration’s “Cancer Moonshot” initiative, President Joe Biden repeated a claim that has been debunked in the past.
He told the audience on Tuesday that he had traveled 17,000 miles with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“I spent a lot of time with Xi Jinping,” Biden remarked. “I spent over 80 hours with him alone. Over 17,000 miles in China, anywhere in Tibet, near Tibet.”
He went on to share an anecdote about a conversation with President Xi, in which he described America with the word “possibility,” connecting the theme to the Cancer Moonshot initiative.
However, Biden’s claim about traveling over 17,000 miles with Xi has previously been fact-checked and deemed largely inaccurate.
This assertion has been made by Biden on numerous occasions over the years, and in 2021, it was examined by The Washington Post.
The publication noted, “Try as we could, however, we still could not get the travel to add up to 17,000 miles.”
As a result, Biden’s statement was given a three Pinocchio rating by the Post, which indicates “significant factual error and/or obvious contradictions.” This rating is similar to a “mostly false” verdict.
Fox News Digital sought comment from the White House on Biden’s latest reiteration of the claim, but there was no immediate response.
At the New Orleans event, Biden also announced $150 million in ARPA-H awards aimed at advancing technologies that could improve tumor-removal surgeries, a key component of his Cancer Moonshot initiative.
Having recently exited the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his preferred successor, Biden is reportedly dedicating his remaining time in office to causes that hold deep personal significance for him.
Cancer research, in particular, is of “immense importance” to the president, according to a statement from an aide shared with CNN.
Biden’s Gaffes; A Main Reason Why He’s Out Of The 2024 Race
Joe Biden is notorious for committing humiliating gaffes while speaking in public. Even before he became president, he was known for his many blunders while speaking at events or at press conferences.
But as he’s suffered from apparent cognitive decline during his time as commander-in-chief, these gaffes became more frequent and severe.
It soon became obvious to everyone, even Democrats, that Biden was not going to win reelection because of his poor mental fitness.
And that’s why he was practically forced out of his role as the Democratic nominee for president.
If the Left was honest with themselves, they would’ve realized this before the primary elections took place and would have found another candidate sooner.
But let’s face it, honesty is not a character trait that the Left is capable of possessing.
