ABC moderators admit debate was rigged in a shocking new development

Many Americans knew that the ABC debate between Trump and Harris was rigged. But now, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind.

Because the ABC moderators have admitted that the debate was rigged in a shocking new development.

In a disturbing, but hardly surprising, turn of events ABC News’ Linsey Davis, one of the moderators for last week’s presidential debate, admitted to deliberately targeting former President Donald Trump for fact-checking, while giving Vice President Kamala Harris a free pass.

Davis revealed to the Los Angeles Times that the plan was to scrutinize Trump’s statements, while allowing Harris to skate by, unchallenged. This blatant disregard for impartiality is not only an insult to the American public but a dangerous precedent that undermines the integrity of our political discourse.

Davis and her co-moderator, David Muir, fact-checked Trump seven times throughout the debate. In contrast, Harris wasn’t fact-checked once, despite her frequent use of debunked claims, including the infamous “very fine people” hoax about Trump’s remarks on the Charlottesville protests.

This hoax, which has been repeatedly debunked by those willing to look at Trump’s actual words, was trotted out once again by Harris without any challenge from the moderators.

Davis’s admission confirms what many conservatives have long suspected: the mainstream media isn’t just biased against Trump, but actively works to protect Democrats like Kamala Harris from any serious scrutiny.

According to Davis, the decision to focus solely on Trump was in response to the June CNN debate, where critics claimed that Trump’s statements were allowed to “hang” without being disputed by his opponent or the moderators. Davis justified this biased approach by saying she wanted to prevent the same situation from happening again.

However, what Davis conveniently overlooks is the fact that both Biden and Harris have repeatedly made false or misleading statements — statements that have gone unchecked by moderators time and time again.

In this debate, Harris could have easily been fact-checked on multiple occasions, yet ABC News chose not to hold her accountable. This double standard is a prime example of how the mainstream media seeks to shape the narrative rather than report the facts.

One of the most egregious examples of Harris’s unchecked falsehoods is her continued use of the “very fine people” hoax. This misleading claim asserts that Trump referred to neo-Nazis and white supremacists as “very fine people” during the Charlottesville protests in 2017.

In reality, Trump explicitly condemned these groups during his remarks, stating, “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.” Yet Harris, like many other Democrats, continues to use this lie as a political weapon.

This wasn’t the first time Harris had used this false narrative. During the 2020 vice-presidential debate, she trotted out the same claim while debating then-Vice President Mike Pence. Pence, to his credit, fact-checked her in real-time, exposing the lie for what it was. However, last week’s debate moderators failed to do the same, allowing Harris to repeat this misleading statement unchallenged.

Davis admitted that the moderators had studied past statements by both candidates, yet somehow they “missed” Harris’s repeated use of this well-documented hoax. This omission speaks volumes about the true intent behind the debate’s moderation: to protect Kamala Harris and other Democratic candidates from being held accountable for their misleading claims, while painting Trump as the sole purveyor of falsehoods.

The media’s obsession with fact-checking Trump while letting Democrats like Harris off the hook is nothing new. We’ve seen this double standard play out time and time again, with journalists bending over backwards to scrutinize every word Trump says, while turning a blind eye to the falsehoods of Democrats.

Whether it’s Harris’s use of the “fine people” hoax or Biden’s repeated lies during the June debate, the mainstream media has consistently shown that it’s more interested in pushing an agenda than informing the American public.

Even when Biden and Harris have been caught in blatant lies, the media has largely refused to hold them accountable. In the June debate, Biden repeatedly made misleading statements about his record, his policies, and even basic facts about the economy and foreign policy.

Yet, CNN moderators never fact-checked him, allowing his falsehoods to go unchallenged. This is the same treatment that Harris received in last week’s debate — a clear indication that the media is more concerned with protecting their favored candidates than with ensuring a fair and honest debate.

The media’s refusal to fact-check Harris isn’t just a case of poor journalism; it’s a dangerous trend that threatens the integrity of our democratic process. By selectively fact-checking only one candidate while giving the other a free pass, the media is actively influencing the outcome of elections. Voters rely on moderators to provide them with an honest, unbiased assessment of the candidates, but when the media is openly biased, voters are left in the dark.

This kind of bias creates a skewed narrative where one candidate — Trump — is portrayed as dishonest and untrustworthy, while the other — Harris — is presented as beyond reproach. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In reality, both candidates should be held to the same standard of scrutiny. But when the media refuses to hold Democrats accountable, they are effectively giving them a license to lie without consequences.

It’s time for the media to stop playing favorites and start doing its job. Voters deserve to know the truth about all candidates, not just the ones the media doesn’t like. If the media is going to fact-check Trump, they must also fact-check Harris. Anything less is a disservice to the democratic process and to the American people.

The media’s blatant bias against Trump and protection of Harris is yet another reminder that we cannot trust the mainstream media to provide us with an honest and balanced view of the world. If we want to make informed decisions about our country’s future, we must seek out alternative sources of information — sources that are willing to hold all candidates accountable, not just the ones that the establishment media opposes.
