MSNBC has taken the crown from CNN. They hate Trump more than any cable network.
That’s why Trump was stunned when he heard what MSNBC just came clean about regarding him.
Since Donald Trump first left office in January of 2021, CNN has been dealing with a bleeding out of their viewership. They really banked on the Trump-hate viewership, so when that all went away, so has the CNN bottom-line. There were reports about two years ago about how CNN may not even be a billion-dollar company anymore. In their stead, MSNBC has taken the torch of being the most unhinged, Trump-deranged cable news network around these days.
This has landed them in trouble. They’ve been forced to provide legal clarifications and statements on their own network because of disparaging claims they’ve made about Donald Trump and his allies. They just don’t seem to get the message that they have to drop the Trump derangement, though. That’s a common theme for those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, it just seems to be like a drug that they can’t kick for the life of them.
Mika Brzezinski Forced to Correct Scott Galloway’s Claim About Trump in Morning Joe Appearance
On a recent episode of Morning Joe, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski quickly corrected New York University professor Scott Galloway after he made a false claim regarding President-elect Donald Trump. Galloway, during his discussion on the show, referred to Trump as a “r*pist” in relation to a civil court case involving former Elle Magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll. The jury had found Trump liable for s*xually abusing and defaming Carroll, not for r*pe. Brzezinski swiftly intervened to clarify this point for the viewers.
The controversy stems from a May 2023 court case, in which a jury awarded E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in damages, which included $65 million in punitive damages and $18.3 million in compensatory damages. The case centered around Carroll’s accusations of s*xual abuse and defamation by the then-President-elect. However, as Brzezinski noted, the court found Trump liable for “s*xual abuse,” not r*pe. While the judge in the case had indeed likened Trump’s actions to r*pe, the official legal finding was s*xual abuse.
During Galloway’s appearance, he discussed issues of income inequality, claiming that it was the cause of what he saw as the country’s current political climate. “They are targeting the wealthy,” Galloway said. “We are in the midst of a series of small revolutions to correct income inequality. And the reason we put an insurrectionist and a r*pist in office is because for the first time in our nation’s history, a 30-year-old man or woman isn’t doing as well as his or her parents were at thirty.” He further lamented how income inequality was escalating, with a small number of individuals and companies amassing wealth on an unprecedented scale.
After Galloway’s comments, Brzezinski offered a pointed correction. “Great conversation,” she began, before adding, “I want to make a comment though just about a word that was used in this interview. Donald Trump was tried civilly and was found liable of s*xual abuse, not r*pe. But the judge in the case likened his actions to r*pe, but the liability was officially called s*xual abuse.”
This clarification follows a similar legal dispute involving ABC News and longtime host George Stephanopoulos. In March, Stephanopoulos made the mistake of stating that two juries had found Trump “liable for r*pe” during a segment on This Week. This statement led to a defamation lawsuit, with Trump suing ABC News. In December 2024, a settlement was reached, with ABC News agreeing to pay Trump $15 million, which would be donated to a future presidential foundation and museum. Additionally, both ABC News and Stephanopoulos were required to pay $1 million in attorney’s fees to Trump’s legal team. A court order also stipulated that ABC News include an editor’s note on a March 2024 article to clarify the mistake.
The conversation surrounding Trump’s legal battles and the media’s reporting on them has also sparked other controversies. In November, The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg accused Trump of being linked to multiple allegations of s*xual misconduct. However, she made this claim without offering any evidence to support it, further inflaming the already heated political discourse surrounding Trump’s reputation.
The media plays a serious role in shaping public perception of high-profile figures, especially when the facts are often nuanced or subject to legal interpretation. MSNBC has to be held accountable for when they make disparaging and false statements about even those who they severely disagree with.
