The Trump admin is in the midst of a major overhaul. They want to completely get rid of all the Leftist ideologies that plague the federal government.

And Trump’s Secretary of Defense just blew this radical Leftist scheme to pieces.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth Slams Climate Focus, Signals Shift to Warfighting Priorities

In a bold statement on Sunday, U.S. Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made it crystal clear where his department’s priorities lie. “The @DeptofDefense does not do climate change crap,” he declared, emphasizing a laser focus on training and warfighting over environmental initiatives.

His remarks came as a direct response to a CNN post by reporter Haley Britzky, who highlighted the Pentagon’s plans to axe climate-related programs.

Britzky’s story pointed to a collaboration between the DOD and the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by billionaire Elon Musk. The duo is targeting Pentagon projects tied to climate change, a move that has sparked warnings from officials and experts.

“The DOD and DOGE have said they plan to cut climate programs in the Pentagon – but officials & experts are warning that climate efforts at DOD are directly linked to military readiness, and say cuts could put troops and military operations at risk,” Britzky said. She noted that CNN had pressed the Pentagon with questions about how these cuts might affect preparedness, only to receive a sharp rebuke from Pentagon spokesperson John Ullyot: “Climate zealotry and other woke chimeras of the Left are not part’ of DOD’s mission.”

Hegseth didn’t mince words in backing Ullyot. “John is, of course, correct,” he wrote, doubling down on the department’s rejection of what he sees as distractions from its true purpose. The message aligns with a larger effort between the DOD and DOGE to trim what they call wasteful spending.

DOD spokesman Sean Parnell recently took to social media to spotlight some eyebrow-raising examples uncovered by DOGE’s early audits. Among them: $1.6 million to the University of Florida for a study on climate vulnerability in Africa. “This stuff is just not a core function of our military,” Parnell said bluntly. “This is not what we do. This stuff is a distraction from our core mission.”

Parnell estimated that rooting out these initial findings could save taxpayers around $80 million. Meanwhile, Hegseth has pledged to deepen the partnership with DOGE, which has already cast its cost-cutting net across agencies like the Treasury, Labor, Education, and the IRS.

He praised the fact that many DOGE staffers are veterans, calling it a “good thing” that they’re eager to sniff out inefficiencies. “They care just like we do, to find the redundancies and identify the last vestiges of Biden priorities — the DEI, the woke, the climate change B.S., that’s not core to our mission, and we’re going to get rid of it all,” Hegseth vowed.

Trump Administration Pushes Back Against Leftist Ideologies

This aggressive pivot under Hegseth’s leadership reflects a wider rejection of progressive ideals by the Trump administration, which has taken aim at what it views as the excesses of the Left.

The so-called woke agenda, with its emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion, and climate activism, has long been a punching bag for Trump and his allies. Now, with DOGE and the DOD joining forces, that disdain is translating into concrete action.

The administration is signaling that it’s done with policies it deems frivolous, favoring a return to what it considers the nuts and bolts of governance: security, efficiency, and traditional American values.

Under Trump’s watch, this rollback isn’t just about dollars and cents—it’s a cultural statement. The excision of DEI programs and climate studies from the Pentagon’s budget is a deliberate jab at the Biden-era focus on social justice and environmentalism, which Trump’s team argues diluted military focus.

By redirecting resources to warfighting and training, the administration is doubling down on a muscular, no-nonsense approach to defense that leaves little room for what Hegseth calls “climate change crap” It’s a stance that plays well with the administration’s base, who see these cuts as a victory over progressive overreach.

Beyond the Pentagon, the Trump administration’s partnership with Musk’s DOGE hints at a sweeping purge of woke priorities across the federal government. From education to health to tax collection, the message is consistent: out with the ideological experiments, in with a leaner, meaner operation. For Trump, it’s a chance to cement his legacy as the leader who stripped away the fluff and refocused America on what he deems essential—starting with a military that’s ready to fight, not fret over carbon footprints.
