Schumer is almost as radical as they come. It’ll be a great day for America when he retires.

And Chuck Schumer just accused Trump of wanting to commit a heinous crime.

In a stunning display of panic from the swamp, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer unleashed a tirade against a straightforward bill designed to keep American elections secure and honest. The Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility Act, known as the SAVE Act, aims to ensure only eligible citizens cast ballots, a basic protection every real American supports. Yet Schumer wasted no time slamming it as outrageous ahead of its expected vote this week.

The New York Democrat told reporters on a Sunday call that President Trump and Senate Republicans are trying to “disenfranchise millions of Americans and undermine democracy by pushing this despicable SAVE Act.”

Schumer doubled down on his attack, insisting the election integrity bill stands as “one of the most despicable pieces of legislation I’ve come across in the many years I’ve been a legislator.”

He ramped up the drama further, declaring, “Nothing is more important than defeating this dagger to the heart of our democracy.”

For weeks Senate Majority Leader John Thune had stalled on moving the voter ID measure forward, but he finally announced it would reach the floor this week according to reports from CNBC.

Americans watching this game know the delay only fueled suspicions that even some Republicans hesitate when real reform is on the line.

Still, the bill faces long odds because Thune refuses to touch the filibuster rules, leaving the 60-vote hurdle firmly in place.

Schumer kept the attacks coming hot and heavy during his call with the press. He painted Trump as desperate, claiming the president sees defeat on the horizon and will stop at nothing to win.

“Donald Trump believes he’s going to lose the election. He knows his numbers are in the gutter,” he said.

“And so what does he want to do? Well, he wants to cheat. He wants to steal the election like he did in 2021 in a different way.”

Democrats admit they remain in the dark about the exact details Thune plans to bring forward, yet they vow to fight tooth and nail regardless.

“We don’t yet know what Thune is doing, what he will do exactly, but we’re prepared for every possible scenario,” Schumer stated.

Schumer wrapped up his rant by warning his fellow Democrats that letting this bill advance would spell disaster for their side.

“My caucus really feels strongly that this would be a horror, you know, one of the worst things that’s happened in the history of this country in terms of allowing people to vote,” he said.

What Schumer calls a horror is actually common sense to working families across the heartland. The SAVE Act simply demands proof that voters are American citizens, nothing more and nothing less.
