AOC has always been crazy. But it’s getting worse.

Now Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reached new lows of radicalism.

AOC Caves to Far-Left Pressure on Israel Aid

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has announced she will now block every form of U.S. military assistance to Israel — including funding for the life-saving Iron Dome missile defense system — in a clear pivot driven by fierce pushback from radical progressives.

Yielding to the Squad’s Extremes

The New York Democrat, long a vocal critic of Israel, had previously supported replenishing the Iron Dome, which protects civilians from rocket barrages.

But after catching heat from allies like Young Turks commentator Anna Kasparian and the Democratic Socialists of America, she’s reversed course entirely.

In her own words on X: “The Israeli government is well able to fund the Iron Dome system, which has proven critical to keep innocent civilians safe from rocket attacks and bombardment. I will not support Congress sending more taxpayer dollars and military aid to a government that consistently ignores international law and U.S. law.”

This shift happened during a virtual DSA event tied to their endorsement process — an organization known for its deep skepticism toward the Jewish state.

Prioritizing Ideology Over Practical Defense

Ocasio-Cortez pointed to Israel’s recent $45 billion defense budget and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments about potentially stepping back from a long-standing U.S. memorandum of understanding.

She argued that allies must comply with the Leahy amendment and Foreign Assistance Act, which restrict aid over human rights concerns.

Yet critics note this move risks undermining a key defensive tool that has repeatedly shielded Israeli families from Hamas and other militant attacks, all while AOC faces speculation about higher ambitions like a 2028 presidential run.

Her recent foreign policy trip to Germany drew mockery for gaffes on Taiwan and Venezuela, raising questions about whether she’s prioritizing domestic left-wing applause over stable alliances.

The Cost of Pandering to the Fringe

By fully aligning against aid — even purely defensive support — Ocasio-Cortez highlights how anti-Israel sentiment continues to dominate certain corners of the Democratic Party.

This reversal underscores a willingness to let activist outrage override earlier, more measured stances, potentially at the expense of U.S. strategic interests and civilian safety abroad.
