Democrats want to kick Trump out of office. This isn’t anything new.
And Trump impeachment threats are still pouring in from these leftists.
On a recent Sunday appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries made it crystal clear that top Democrats remain obsessed with targeting President Donald Trump rather than fixing the real problems crushing working families.
When pressed by host Kristen Welker about potential priorities if Democrats seize the House in the midterms, Jeffries refused to shut the door on impeachment. Instead, he danced around the question with typical Washington doublespeak.
Welker brought up remarks from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who earlier blasted President Trump over military actions.
The host quoted AOC directly: “President Trump has launched a massive war of enormous risk and of catastrophic consequence without reason, rationale or congressional authorization, which is as clear a violation of the Constitution as any. All of these incidents, and plenty more as clearly driven, our country passed the threshold for impeachment.”
Jeffries responded without hesitation: “We haven’t ruled anything in and ruled anything out in terms of accountability.”
He quickly pivoted to what he claimed unites Democrats. “What we have said is that our focus is going to be to make life more affordable for the American people. We have to drive down the high cost of living. We have to restore the American dream, which a lot of people understandably have concluded is broken right now.”
“When you work hard and play by the rules in this country, we believe that you should live an affordable life, a comfortable life, and a good life. That means a good-paying job, good housing, good health care and a good education for your children.”
“And when it’s all said and done, a good retirement. That’s what brings Democrats together in the House, in the Senate. Governors all across the country.”
While Jeffries floats the idea of hauling President Trump before Congress for another show trial, everyday patriots want secure borders, American energy dominance, and policies that put workers first.
Democrats love to talk about affordability, yet their track record tells a different story.
Years of open-border policies have flooded labor markets, suppressed wages, and strained public services that working families rely on.
How exactly does that drive down the cost of living?
Jeffries and his crew dream of impeachment theater because they cannot win on substance.
Their so-called priorities mask a deeper agenda of power grabs, endless regulations, and cultural experiments that leave families behind.
