The Left’s witch hunt knows no bounds. They’re doing everything to stop another term for the former president.

And this Trump official just got sent to prison and now Republicans are furious.

Ever since Donald Trump won the presidency, Democrats have claimed that he violated the law.

First it was Russiagate with it’s many disproven claims and so-called evidence.

Then Trump supposedly was strong arming Ukraine into doing his bidding – a claim which was debunked after he released the transcript of his call with Ukraine’s leadership.

And finally, they have jumped on the idea that Trump is an “insurrectionist” for urging people to peacefully protest.

Despite the mountain of evidence that he did nothing to encourage trespassers on January 6th and, in fact, offered to send the National Guard to protect the Capitol, they have moved forward with their persecution.

Those closest to him aren’t immune to the hunt. They are being targeted just like Trump in hopes they will turn on their former leader.

And now they’ve upped the ante by imprisoning one of Trump’s former advisors.

Former Trump White House aide Peter Navarro was ordered on Monday to surrender to federal jail next week for the four-month term he received after failing to appear for a deposition with the January 6 Committee in February 2022.

District Judge Amit Mehta ordered Navarro, who was convicted by a D.C. jury last year on two charges of contempt of Congress, to report to a Miami prison on March 19. Navarro intended to escape prison while his case was being appealed.

The 74-year-old former Trump economic advisor was sentenced and fined $9,500 in January following his conviction in September 2023.

Navarro has claimed that he has done nothing illegal and was not required to meet with members of the January 6 Committee, which was disbanded after Republicans gained control of the House in January 2023.

“Dr. Navarro has now been ordered to report to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons, FCI Miami, on or before 2:00PM EDT on March 19, 2024,” Navarro’s attorney stated in a filing on Sunday.

“Accordingly, Dr. Navarro respectfully reiterates his request for an administrative stay … Should this Court deny Dr. Navarro’s motion, he respectfully requests an administrative stay so as to permit the Supreme Court review of this Court’s denial.”

“For the first time in history, a senior presidential advisor has been convicted of contempt of Congress after asserting executive privilege over a congressional subpoena,” Navarro’s lawyer said.

“Dr. Navarro has appealed and will raise a number of issues on appeal that he contends are likely to result in the reversal of his conviction, or a new trial.”

After being indicted, Navarro claimed that the January 6 Committee was attempting to intimidate him.

“Congress has weaponized the investigatory powers of congress in a way which is unconstitutional,” Navarro said in June 2022 after a court hearing on the indictment.

“The people of America need to understand, Congress has the right to investigate, but only for non-punitive, legislative purposes. What that committee is doing is investigating for punitive purposes.”

“They intercepted me getting on the plane and they put me in handcuffs, they bring me here, they put me in leg irons, they stick me in a cell,” the man claimed.
