Was Senator Vance the right pick? There’s one reason he might not be.

As this skeleton in J.D. Vance’s closet may be the Trump campaign’s undoing.

Donald Trump has had all the momentum in the world ever since the first few minutes of the presidential debate were televised to tens of millions of Americans tuning in. Those tens of millions of Americans saw a sitting U.S. president in Joe Biden completely lose all ability to carry on in the most simple of debates. It’s not like these political debates are Ivy League debate competitions.

The Democrat Party started to implode and Donald Trump kept quiet while his opposition set themselves on fire. Then the assassination attempt on Donald Trump was a catalyst for his momentum to accelerate faster than ever before. He hasn’t had momentum like this since the 2016 primary season when he was on fire in his debate presence against the other Republicans running for the nomination that year.

This same momentum naturally led up to the moment when it was time for Donald Trump to officially announce his pick for his vice president running mate to round out his ticket. He was building up all the hype in the world for this pick. Then he announced it on Truth Social. It was U.S. Senator J.D. Vance.

Now, J.D. Vance is a perfectly fine pick. Though many political strategists agree he doesn’t exactly add much to Trump’s corner, it is true that J.D. Vance is representative of this new “populist” wing of the Republican Party that is supposed to have more of an emphasis on being for the people than previous Republican administrations like the Bush ones.

The problem is, that could very well be J.D. Vance’s undoing. How so? While J.D. Vance has an incredible story about coming from nothing to becoming a massive success as an author, he has an interesting history of being extremely close to the Silicon Valley tech giants and their investors.

There’s nothing wrong with that, really. Much of the tech sector represents the best of American capitalism, and that’s beautiful. However, we’d be lying if we didn’t also tell you that some of the most corrupt and controlling elites also come from that Silicon Valley circle.

Donald Trump, himself, noted this career he had in the Silicon Valley in his announcement of Vance as his pick for VP. “J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance,” former President Trump said in his Truth Social post.

So while Vance is largely trying to sell himself as a man of the working class, he has a history of rubbing shoulders with some of the most elite individuals in the entirety of the United States.

“J.D. Vance has become a leading voice for people across the country who feel left behind, so he is the perfect person to help us expand Rise Of The Rest,” it’s been said about Mr. Vance several years ago.

Who made that quote? Well, none other than Steve Case, the former CEO of AOL. Mr. Vance worked for Case at Mr. Case’s finance investment firm called “Revolution LLC.” The story continues on.

Then, in 2020, Mr. Vance started his own venture capitalist firm in the city of Cincinnati with the support of quite a few ultra-rich Americans, like billionaire Marc Andreessen a staple in the history of Silicon Valley elites.

The purpose of his firm was to funnel major investments from strongholds over on the east coast like in New York and Washington, D.C. into the state of Ohio where there was opportunity for growth.

Some say this has been positive for the economies of the area. When asked what a Trump-Vance economy would be like for Americans, Mr. Vance said he would focus on more manufacturing jobs and the energy sector. This is a smart move.

“A lot more manufacturing jobs than we have right now,” Mr. Vance said. “If you look, the economies that really, really thrive, they’ve got a foundation of strong manufacturing. They’re developing their own energy.”

Vance Has To Sell Himself As True To His Word

It’s reasonable to assume that Vance is largely just trying to help bring capitalistic endeavors to the rust belt after the region has been ignored by the dominant figures on the far East and West coasts for decades now. That being said, he will have to stave off concerns now.

A major part of Donald Trump’s appeal is that many Americans believe he can’t be bought out. Whether or not that’s true is beside the point. It’s a sentiment that many Americans have.

J.D. Vance is largely unknown, as polls have shown, to the American public. He will have to answer for how and why he has these connections to the most elite members of the Silicon Valley class. There’s nothing wrong with them, but the American people have grown more suspicious than ever of the corporate class.

Not only that, but he’ll have to tie his answer to those questions into how he can say he is for the American worker and why he’s a man of the people. He will absolutely be questioned by the Left, including Kamala Harris in their debate. He will have to have a strong answer for anything regarding his past.

The last thing you want is a shift in the current narrative that a Trump-Vance ticket is ultimately for all Americans and not just the most rich individuals who can pay for their ears. We already know what that looks like with a Biden family who clearly abuses their political fame.
