The radical Left is full of liars. But the length that they are willing to take things is scary.
And a top Democrat has been caught lying in order to get elected.
In the increasingly polarized world of American politics, one thing has become painfully clear: Democrats will say anything to get elected, even if it means completely contradicting their past statements.
The latest example of this comes from Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who is running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). Allred has been caught red-handed trying to backtrack on past remarks he made about President Donald Trump’s border wall — a topic that has been a flashpoint in the national debate over immigration.
During a recent interview, Allred was confronted about a statement he made in 2018 during his primary race, where he passionately declared that if Trump’s border wall was built, “my generation will be the one that tears it down.” Allred didn’t stop there; he also labeled the wall as part of a “racist campaign promise” and vowed that the Democrats would fight to dismantle it.
In a @tedcruz ad, @ColinAllredTX says "If they build that racist wall, my generation is the one that will tear it down."
He told us that quote was "taken out of context" and walls are "an important part" of border security.
But, was that quote "taken out of context?" No.

However, now that he’s facing a tough Senate race against Ted Cruz and is trailing in the polls, Allred is trying to walk back those comments. When asked if he still believed the wall was racist and if he still supported tearing it down, Allred deflected and claimed that his comments were “taken out of context.”
He then shifted the conversation to attack Cruz for not supporting the Democrats’ border security bill, a bill that many experts argue would exacerbate the already disastrous Biden-Harris border crisis.
But the facts don’t lie. A clip from Allred’s 2018 primary clearly shows that his remarks were not taken out of context. In fact, they were part of a broader narrative that Allred and many other Democrats were pushing at the time — a narrative that painted Trump’s immigration policies as inherently racist and un-American. Now, facing political pressure, Allred is trying to distance himself from those statements, hoping that voters will forget his earlier radical rhetoric.
Here's the context from Allred's 2018 primary.
"This racist wall… if they build that wall, my generation will be the one that tears it down."
Two things can be true at the same time:

Allred’s flip-flop is just the latest example in a long line of Democrats who have changed their tune on major issues whenever it’s politically expedient. This pattern of behavior raises serious questions about their integrity and their commitment to the principles they claim to uphold.
Take President Joe Biden, for example. During his time in the Senate, Biden was a staunch supporter of law and order, even co-authoring the 1994 Crime Bill, which imposed harsh penalties for drug offenses and led to the mass incarceration of African Americans.
Fast forward to 2020, and Biden was singing a different tune, aligning himself with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, which has called for defunding the police and ending cash bail. Biden’s shift was a clear attempt to appease the far-Left base of the Democratic Party, even if it meant abandoning his previous positions.
Then there’s Kamala Harris, Biden’s vice president and the Democrat nominee. As California’s Attorney General, Harris prided herself on being a “top cop,” vigorously prosecuting drug offenses and defending the death penalty. Yet, during the 2020 presidential campaign, she rebranded herself as a criminal justice reformer, condemning the very policies she once enforced.
Harris’s dramatic shift on criminal justice is a textbook example of how Democrats will say whatever it takes to win votes, even if it means betraying their past actions.
The border wall is a perfect case study in Democratic hypocrisy. During Trump’s presidency, Democrats universally condemned the wall as a symbol of racism and xenophobia. They argued that building a wall was antithetical to American values and insisted that there were better ways to secure the border.
Yet, as the Biden-Harris administration has struggled to contain the border crisis, some Democrats have quietly changed their position. Just recently, the Biden administration approved the construction of additional border barriers in certain areas, citing the need for increased security. This move is a stark reversal from their earlier rhetoric and proves that Democrats are willing to embrace the very policies they once decried if it serves their political interests.
Colin Allred’s attempt to downplay his past comments on the border wall is emblematic of this broader trend. When it was politically advantageous to bash Trump’s border wall, Allred was all too happy to do so, even going so far as to call it “racist” and pledge to tear it down.
But now that he’s running for Senate in a state where border security is a top issue, Allred is trying to soften his stance, hoping voters won’t remember his radical statements from just a few years ago.
