The Kamala-Walz ticket could be one of the worst in history. But it just became official.

Because Tim Walz is getting investigated for this atrocious skeleton in his closet.

The House Oversight Committee has launched a probe into Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’ vice-presidential pick, over his alleged “longstanding connections” to China and entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

This investigation, uncovered by Fox News Digital, could spell serious trouble for Walz and his political aspirations.

Fox News Digital obtained an exclusive letter from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., addressed to FBI Director Christopher Wray, where Comer informs the bureau about the committee’s investigation into Walz.

“The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is conducting a government-wide investigation into the Chinese Communist Party’s political warfare operations against America and the response from federal agencies,” Comer wrote.

“Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced her vice presidential running mate, Timothy Walz, the current governor of Minnesota.”

It’s worth noting that the FBI had briefed the committee on April 22 and July 17 — before Walz was named Harris’ running mate — regarding the bureau’s concerns. According to Comer, the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force is already probing the very type of activity that has since emerged about Governor Walz.

Comer is now demanding detailed information about the Chinese entities and officials with whom Walz has “engaged and partnered,” as well as any “warnings or advice the FBI may have given to Governor Walz about U.S. political figures being targeted by or recruited for CCP influence operations.”

In a stark warning, Comer pointed to Walz’s “longstanding connections to CCP-connected entities and officials,” making him susceptible to the CCP’s insidious strategy of “elite capture.” This strategy aims to co-opt influential figures in elite political, cultural, and academic circles to “influence the United States to the benefit of the communist regime and the detriment of Americans.”

The committee is particularly concerned about Walz’s “extensive engagement with CCP officials and entities while serving in public office,” raising serious questions about potential CCP influence on his decision-making as governor and, should he be elected, as vice president.

“Recent reporting reveals that Governor Walz has concerning ties to the People’s Republic of China,” Comer stated, highlighting Walz’s past activities. For instance, in the early 1990s, Walz reportedly organized a trip to China for Alliance High School students, with expenses allegedly covered by the Chinese government.

Comer also noted that in 1994, Walz established a private company, “Educational Travel Adventures, Inc.,” which coordinated annual student trips to China until 2003. Suspiciously, this corporation was dissolved just four days after Walz assumed congressional office in 2007.

Even more troubling, Walz is estimated to have traveled to China around “30 times,” raising further red flags.

Comer emphasized the committee’s concern about U.S. officials being vigilant against CCP political and psychological warfare efforts, which threaten national security. He pointed to Walz’s time in Congress, where he served as a fellow at Macau Polytechnic University, a Chinese institution with a “long-held devotion to and love for the motherland.”

Comer also brought attention to Walz’s significant credit card debt at the time he served as a Macau fellow, as well as his role in headlining the 27th National Convention for the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association in Minnesota in 2019.

During this event, Walz shared the stage with the president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries — a group later exposed by the State Department as a Beijing-based organization tasked with “co-opting subnational governments” and influencing local leaders to promote the CCP’s global agenda.

Comer also pointed out that Walz has openly admitted he does not “fall into the category that China necessarily needs to be an adversarial relationship.” Despite bipartisan efforts to combat CCP infiltration, Walz continues to engage with concerning entities and individuals.

In March 2024, Walz met with Consul General Zhao Jian to discuss “China-U.S. relations and sub-national cooperation,” despite his apparent awareness of communist China’s human rights abuses.

Comer is now requesting the FBI’s assistance in providing documents and information related to any Chinese entity or individual Walz may have engaged or partnered with. He is also asking for records of any communications between the FBI and Walz or his gubernatorial office regarding warnings about engaging with the PRC, CCP, and its proxies.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Comer expressed grave concern, saying, “The CCP has sought to destroy the United States through coordinated influence and infiltration campaigns that target every aspect of American life, including our own elected officials.”

“Americans should be deeply concerned that Governor Walz, Kamala Harris’s vice-presidential running mate, has a longstanding and cozy relationship with China,” Comer warned.

“Mr. Walz has visited China dozens of times, served as a fellow at a Chinese institution that maintains a devotion to the CCP, and spoke alongside the president of a Chinese organization the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders.”

Comer further added, “FBI briefers recently informed the Committee that the Bureau’s Foreign Influence Task Force investigates CCP activity that is similar to China’s engagement with Governor Walz.”

“The American people deserve to fully understand how deep Governor Walz’s relationship with China goes,” Comer asserted.
